MURDER ON THE WOK EXPRESS

Talkie – Make your own Wok
Theatre – Wok Express
Ticket Price – Rs.195
Box Office Rating – 3.4 stars

Cast – Desi chilli sauce , Veggies and Hakka Noodles

Review – This is a spicy and saucy story about an investigator Hakka Noodles and his adventure, about a missing, Indian foreigner called Desi Chilli Sauce on board the Wok Express to China. Hakka is a thick, long and fine investigator, over time he could almost take up any face, and disguise himself into Schezwan, Barbeque or Chilli Sauce looks to get to the end of a case. This time the case at hand is hard, because the spicy and hot aroma of the missing Desi Chilli sauce is everywhere in the air but, none of the on board sharp, juicy and crisp stir fried veggies can spot Desi Chilli Sauce. All of this keeps you hooked and you wonder where did the Desi Chilli Sauce disappear and how is it still engulfing the whole train with its hot and spicy flavours, leaving people with burnt tongues and a few noses leaking.
This is a major spoiler, and I must reveal it. This whole time the Desi Chilli Sauce was walking around disguised as Hakka Noodles, slyly burying Hakka Noodles, all you can taste and sense is the hot Desi Chilli Sauce dressed in the garb of Hakka Noodles. I personally found it too spicy, but because it is a make my own wok, your takeaway could be different.

HAIL SCHEZWAN

Talkie – Dragon Noodles
Theatre – Amrut Sagar Fast Food
Ticket Price – Rs. 235
Box office stars – 3 stars.

Cast – Schezwan noodles and Hakka Noodles.

Review – A Chinese gang, war film that happened one night in the west lanes of Bandra.
All noodles used to stay together, schezwan and Hakka being the majority. Situated at the heart of the city core was a shrine, the Chinese schezwan sauce, where all noodles would come to take a holy dip in the spicy and holy schezwan sauce.
That year, the monks decided to open their gates only to the privileged Schezwan noodles because they too were red like the hot and holy Schezwan Sauce. This made the Hakka noodles get furious, and they revolted against the monks decision by placing a standing army at the temple gates.
Schezwan felt insulted and both the noodle gangs broke into war.
Who won the war? Who got to taste the holy schezwan sauce?
Well, you will have the answer once you watch the film. A must watch and definitely worth the money.
Do enjoy.

Surprise an old friend.
Studying in a boarding school meant waiting for letters every weekend from your loved ones. One didn’t have the luxury, of staying connected with friends and family, every second of the day like we do today. But somehow we forged stronger bonds then, we valued time with friends more and we listened to each other more.
Today that distance has diminished but so have the friendships.
So today pick up your phone and send something tasty to an old friend, far far away. 47322742_354119818719063_5228379593408249856_n

THE SHOW MUST GO ON

Talkie – White chocolate covered creamy blueberry cheesecake.
Theatre – Woodside Inn – Colaba
Ticket Price – Rs.395

Box Office Rating – 4 stars

Cast – White Chocolate, Blueberry Cheesecake and biscuit crumbs.

Review – There was a local theatre in Greece called Biscuit Crumb where cheesecakes were the elite, creamy and luscious dancers who were show stoppers . They never interacted with the glamours, gooey and sweet dancers of Blueberry Sauce. Because of strong rivalry of scents and tastes. However one day , one of the Cheesecake dancers injured themselves and the Blueberry dancers offered to collaborate their performances because the show must go on at Biscuit Crumb.
That evening the people witnessed a show so grand that Biscuit Crumb was compelled to serve The Blueberry Cheesecake Act every day and that has been going on till date.
A flavourful film of creamy competition, hunger satisfying performances and a lickable takeaway.

CHOCO BLOCK

Happy Children’s Day 🤗

My childhood was pretty much like all the growing middle class families of India in the 90’s. My most vivid and beautiful childhood memory is a Sunday ritual performed by my Father and me.
I grew up in Ahmedabad, where Sunday Bazaar would be held in Old City. This meant a wonderful Sunday morning ride behind Papa on his Bajaj scooter.
This was my biggest adventure of the week, to roam busy by lanes of Old Ahmedabad city and help Papa with weekly grocery shopping. And after this tiring ordeal , Papa would treat us to a special South Indian breakfast, a filter coffee for himself and something super special for me, my only block of chocolate ice cream for the week.
This is my favourite childhood ice cream story let us know what is yours ?
