MURDER ON THE WOK EXPRESS

Talkie – Make your own Wok
Theatre – Wok Express
Ticket Price – Rs.195
Box Office Rating – 3.4 stars

Cast – Desi chilli sauce , Veggies and Hakka Noodles

Review – This is a spicy and saucy story about an investigator Hakka Noodles and his adventure, about a missing, Indian foreigner called Desi Chilli Sauce on board the Wok Express to China. Hakka is a thick, long and fine investigator, over time he could almost take up any face, and disguise himself into Schezwan, Barbeque or Chilli Sauce looks to get to the end of a case. This time the case at hand is hard, because the spicy and hot aroma of the missing Desi Chilli sauce is everywhere in the air but, none of the on board sharp, juicy and crisp stir fried veggies can spot Desi Chilli Sauce. All of this keeps you hooked and you wonder where did the Desi Chilli Sauce disappear and how is it still engulfing the whole train with its hot and spicy flavours, leaving people with burnt tongues and a few noses leaking.
This is a major spoiler, and I must reveal it. This whole time the Desi Chilli Sauce was walking around disguised as Hakka Noodles, slyly burying Hakka Noodles, all you can taste and sense is the hot Desi Chilli Sauce dressed in the garb of Hakka Noodles. I personally found it too spicy, but because it is a make my own wok, your takeaway could be different.

Share the table and a tasty meal with someone.

Any place can get lonely sometimes, and it is in those times you have the biggest opportunity to make new friends.
In the office, I smile at our account team, every morning when we start our day, and bid out goodbyes at the end of the day.
But never have we had the time to actually sit, talk and get to know one another.
So what better time than a tasty lunch break!
I had a lovely time, and I actually wondered why didn’t I do it early in 2018.

When someone is kind enough to fulfill a basic craving, it feels so wonderful.
So, today when my friend was craving for some McCain’s Smiley potato fries. I decided to surprise her with a plate full of it.
Similarly, if you know about someone who is craving to eat something tasty, then do not wait for anything, go to your nearest restaurant, bar or order something to satisfy your friends craving. Happy 2018

Be kind, for god resides in the heart of children.

There are so many important morals and values, every religion teaches us as children.
One of them being, that god resides in the heart of children.
God chooses to do so, because they are innocent, they do not know how to differ right from wrong. They are pure and nothing better can lighten ones heart, like that of child’s smile.
These children, on the street, are unfortunate, for no fault of their own, they land up in troubled and underprivileged homes. Let’s do something kind and tasty for them before 2019 comes knocking.

Cheers to someone else’s happiness

There are always so many reasons for us to be soar faced, stressed, angry and sad. I guess it comes naturally for most of the human race, to search for pity and sadness. There are very few people, who are actually happy, and who in the worst situations look for at the brighter side not only for themselves but others as well.
I am sure 2018, had its set of horrible decisions, mean moves, useless arguments and worthless sorrows. So for all those times we could have been happy, either for ourselves or others, let’s raise a toast and choose to start looking at the glass half full, from 2019, for ourselves and importantly for the happiness of others.

Even if I miss them, so very much, I have not made an effort.
So this New Years, I am going to make a change, I am going to remove some time out, for my old friends, who might feel I have forgotten them.
I am starting with an evening at the movies and a long dinner catching up on , gossip, Life and fun !
Don’t wait for the calendar to flip to 2019.
Call your forgotten friend now !

A friend in need is a friend indeed.

The above phrase was just a moral written on the black board, in school. But life explained the meaning once we grew up.
Friends are your second family, people you can fall back on, people you share your deepest and darkest secrets, without the fear of being judged.
So, before you bid goodbye to 2018, cherish and treat one of your closest friend to thank him/her for always being there with you in your Ups and Downs. Cheers to friendship

I MISS YOU JACK

Talkie: – Veg Nachos
Theatre: – British Brewing Company

Ticket Price – Rs. 190/-
Box Office Rating – 2.5 stars

Cast: – Tortilla chips, cream cheese sauce, red chili beans and special appearance by tomato salsa.
Review: – This is a different take on the classic Nacho movie, and it is catching a lot of buzz because for the first time a Nacho film is based on the perspective of the side kick Cream Cheese and not the traditional hero Jack Cheese.
Coming to the talkie, we feel basing the story solely on the tanginess of the cream cheese doesn’t hold your palate for long, to add to the sourness, the special appearance by tomato salsa makes it unbearably sour. From then on the movie loses its plot and the soul of the quintessential Nacho Classic fades away giving way to a slightly creamy and non-appetizing end.
Because there are so many other Nacho Talkies running successfully I would recommend skipping this one and paying the same amount for another talkie at the British Brewing Company.

NACHO PRESENTED BY BOMBAY 63

Theater – Bombay 63, Goregaon East
Ticket Price – Rs. 293

Box office Rating – 2 stars
Cast – Nacho chips, Cheese, White cream and Salsa sauce.
Special Thanks to – Capsicum and jalapenos.
Review – Someone said, “Don’t judge a book by its cover”. Well, it was well said and one such example is the ‘NACHOS’ by Bombay 63.
The visuals and the characters of the movie looked quite promising. The film had renowned characters like Crisp nacho chips, Fresh White cream topped with a delightful Salsa Sauce. It also had my all-time favorite character, ‘THE CHEESE’. When the movie started, it all looked good. But slowly you realize that the film is predominantly about the cheese, and all the necessary supporting characters were missing. Even with some special appearance made by, the cream, Salsa sauce, Capsicum and jalapenos it didn’t do much for the movie. Spoiler alert, the big climax is unpalatable boring monologue by the cheese with no one listening to him other than Nacho.
Overall we feel the spikes in the plot are weakly placed, giving you very small moments of joy. It takes a lot to get such a basic and classic movie like the Nacho wrong, so sadly we are going with 2 stars.
P.S – The theatre Bombay 63 is pleasant and a must visit it for another movie, you can avoid the Nacho.
